After a hard ski day on the slopes of Beaver Creek my ski friend and I lucked into this great find.
Located right at the base of Beaver Creek Mt, it’s a swanky restaurant that will welcome you in as you shake off the snow packed into your balaclava and peel off your helmet, gloves and unbuckle your boots. You have a choice of ample seating indoors or on a more moderate day with sun you may want service outdoors slopeside.
A full bar guarantees a happy après-ski experience. Still feeling the effects of the high altitude, I went for a spicy virgin mary which did not fail to impress. I’ve had better only in Chicago where they would’ve rimmed the glass with celery salt.
For food, we both ordered the lunch special: broiled brook trout served over linguine dressed in a clean vegetable, parmesan & olive oil sauce. An extremely generous creation for just $11.99. Totally satisfying and worth a revisit.
As a “chop house” their specialties were steaks & chops. Here’s a fine example of Colorado mountain cuisine. They definitely have plenty of upscale customers and they’ve come to the game well prepared.
I can’t wait to go back and try their other offerings.
